Actually, you have to love how some of the ridiculousness of the early days of comic books managed to stick around until today. Green Arrow totally made sense back in the day — all you needed was a color and a gimmick, or more likely just a gimmick. But those characters that stuck around now have to work at justifying things, to the point where a TV show about Green Arrow is just called “Arrow” and the character himself was just called “The Hood” for a while.

Because, you know, naming himself after THAT aspect of his character — the hood instead of the arrow — is MUCH more palatable.

Fortunately, the show is not anywhere NEAR as bad as if COULD be.

Also, how is it that the other arrows don’t come flying out of the quiver when he pulls out the boxing glove arrow?
